Sparktest Operator:

General Description:

The spark test process is a respooling operation designed to package work in process and finished wires in accordance with product specifications. This is a quality operation designed to detect and remove any product flaws.

Responsibilities:

  1. Process all orders in accordance with schedules.
  2. Set up and manufacture products in accordance with defined engineering specifications and operating procedures.
  3. Assure quality of all production.
  4. Record and maintain quality control data for all production in accordance with QC procedures.
  5. Communicate verbally with engineering, quality control and production control personnel on production schedules.
  6. Maintain accurate production reporting records.
  7. Perform routine maintenance procedures on spark test machine.
  8. Keep work areas organized and clean.
  9. Conducts training of newly assigned personnel.
  10. Adheres to safety requirement of position and company.
  11. Adherence to AS9100 requirements.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent


Job Requirements:


Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, pass a drug test, basic math test, and have a H.S. diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to communicate with team members (shift changes, current status)
Must be able to read work instructions and provide necessary data via either written or computer data entry
Must be able to complete data entry into our computer systems
Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
Must be able to comply with all company policies.

Job Title: Braiding Operator

Reports To: Cell Mgr / Production Supervisor

General Description

Braiding is the process of applying a specified braid/shield material over a core wire or cable. This process is completed by running various types of 16 and 24 carrier machines. This is a work-in-process step in the manufacturing process of various final wire and cable products.

Responsibilities

  1. Process all orders in accordance with schedules.
  2. Review routing sheets
  3. Set up, operate, and adjust machinery according to defined engineering specifications and operating procedures
  4. Move raw and finished product within work area
  5. Load full and empty spools onto and off of machine, thread wire through machine, splicing/fusing ends together as needed
  6. Change bobbins on and “thread” braid machines, splicing ends as needed
  7. Strip/cut wire, feed through machine, and / or connect wire
  8. Visually & tactilely inspect wire as it moves through process
  9. Clean and oil machines, replenish oil
  10. Maintain supplies at stations
  11. Generate labels, wrap product
  12. Perform in-process quality inspection
  13. Maintain documentation / production reports and records
  14. Assure quality of all production.
  15. Record and maintain quality control data for all production control personnel on production schedules.
  16. Maintain accurate production reporting records.
  17. Maintain equipment required at operator level.
  18. Adheres to safe work practice requirement.
  19. Work overtime as duties demands
  20.
