Job Status


Under the immediate supervision of the Network Manager of IT, is responsible for providing technical assistance to computer system users and proactively managing the life cycle of the computing assets they use.

Responsibilities

Documentation:

1 Review and update the network documentation, including the data switches, VoIP switches, and Analog phone connections. Maintain and keep the documentation for Pagers, Faxes numbers, printers, Avaya Ip office, and other department software.
2 Maintain and keep all the data closets clean organized and documented for ease of access. This includes labeling and tracking the inventory, support, and life cycle management of systems.

Infrastructure and security

1 Administer the LAN,WAN, and WLAN; maintain the switch configurations for the practices and the hospital to ensure consistency. Troubleshoot connection issues. Provision the connectivity for adding new users in departments, this may include working with vendors to provision drops as needed.
2 System administration of the department-specific applications, maintaining the lifecycle, patch management, and applications upgrades according to the end of life or end of support.
3 Work with the security team in remediating threats to the systems and network by ensuring that the monitoring software and applications are deployed correctly in conjunction with the Desktop support team. Support IT protective technologies (Manage Engine, Solar Winds, Barracuda, Wireshark, Malware) and actively assist with Incident Response guidelines and/or audits. Actively participate in the identification and resolution of the Security Action plan items that result from ongoing Risk Assessments.
